Pipe Laying Project:
Quality Freight were commissioned by An Bord Gais (the
Irish Gas Board) to handle the Subsea pipeline. This involved
shipping 129,000 tonnes of concrete coated steel pipe
from Leith in Scotland to Dublin with each pipe weighing
up to 9 tonnes and measuring 12 meters long. Total storage,
handling and load out to supply vessels to lay the pipe
on the sea bed and all ancillary support services i.e.
ships husbandry, transport and supply base requirements
were handled by us on behalf of the two major contractors.
Food Aid:
Quality Freight have moved the largest Food Aid parcel
to date ex Ireland to Moscow. A total of 26,000 tonnes,
comprising of 16,000 tonnes of frozen butter and 10,000
tonnes of milk powder, were loaded in four vessels (two
refrigerated and two general cargo) in three ports. The
total logistics, stevedoring, planning and shipping was
carried out in conjunction with our Belgian partner.
Food Distribution:
Quality Freight were involved in the warehousing, collection,
delivery, rip and tip, including local distribution of
food products for a large Irish based food organisation.
A total of 40,000 tonnes were handled over a 2-month period
and we undertoook the complete control of logistics and
transport operation covering nationwide deliveries on
a 24/7 J.I.T basis to retail points nationwide.
Boat Handling:
Quality International Boat Handling is a division of Quality
Freight Limited. We have access to Customs Free (bonded)
facilities in Holland and Belgium for storage, distribution
and handling. We organise truck transport services throughout
Europe, Scandinavia, the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe.
We also operate onward shipment by sea and calculate the
most efficient route for your boats to/from any worldwide
destination.
